From Laura :Today we had to throw simulated grenades through the windows of this building. We aimed for the big windows. Then if we made that, for bragging rights, we then aimed for the tiny windows. (By tiny, I mean the little one UNDER the big one!)
About half the guys made it into the big window.
No one made the small window.
A young female private tried, and couldn't even hit the building.
Of course, the pressure is on to save face, as about 50 guys are standing there, watching.
My turn.
I crouched down behind the concrete wall. I simulated pulling the pin, holding the safety, flipping the spoon. Then I pop up (well, it was more of a slow ascent than a pop) and toss the grenade.
Yep, a direct hit through the small window. The crowd roared!
I began to pick up another, as we get three to five grenades. Then I changed my mind, whirled around, and declared that I wasn't going to try to top that one. Everyone laughed with agreement.
Score one for the chicks!
